40 DAYS OF DEVOTION
WHO IS HE?
He is Enthroned Forevermore – “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. His kingdom will have no end. When the Son of Man comes in His glory, with all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. The Father says to the Son, ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.’ The Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. He showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the New Jerusalem there shall no longer be any curse. The throne of the God and of the Lamb shall be in it. There shall no longer be the light of the sun, for the Lord God shall illumine them. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” (Lk 1:32, 33, Mt 25:31, Heb 1:8, Rev 22:1, 3, 5, 20).
WHO ARE WE?
We are His Worshipers – “All say, ‘Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever.’ The great multitude, dressed in white, say, ‘Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ The elders say, ‘We give thanks, Lord God Almighty, because you have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.’ The victorious ones sing the song of the Lamb, saying, ‘Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God, Almighty. Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations. All the nations have come to worship before You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed.’ We will serve Him as bond-servants. We will see His face, and His name will be on our foreheads. The Lord God shall illumine us, and we will reign forever and ever.” (Rev 5:13, 7:10, 11:17, 15:3, 4, 22:3, 4, 5).
