Come & See Jesus
Almost everyone has an opinion about Jesus.
John the Baptist introduced Him, saying, “Behold the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world” (Jn 1:29). When John’s disciples approached Jesus to learn more about Him, He said, “Come and see” (Jn 1:39).
Jesus went on to change the course of world history. He claimed to be God in the flesh. The Savior of the world. The One who loves you and wants you to live with Him forever. He claimed to be the coming King who will return for His people. He promises to forgive you of your sin and bring you into His eternal Kingdom. Jesus taught us that God wants you to live with Him forever! What do you think?
Paul said, “All have sinned. But the Father justifies the one who has faith in Jesus” (Rom 3:23, 28).
Peter said, “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you can be healed” (1 Pet 2:24).
John the Baptist, Paul and Peter all knew Jesus personally. They EXPERIENCED Him. Their faith in the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior enabled them to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” even after Jesus had ascended to heaven. How? They were “born again” by the Holy Spirit (Jn 3:3). Are you?
Rick Clark went through years as a hippie philosophy student thinking and studying before he trusted in the Lord Jesus as his Savior. Are you searching for God? Before Paul became a believer, he was “furiously enraged” at Christians (Acts 26:11). Are you angry? Many who came to Jesus learned Who He is when He healed them or cast demons out of them (Mt 9:35). Are you hurting?
If you are struggling to figure out Who Jesus was (and still is), you are not along. DON’T GIVE UP YOUR SEARCH!!! Let’s do a Bible study together. Join one we are doing or let’s start a new one. “Seek God. Reach out and find Him. He is not far from each one of us” (Acts 17:27).
The Bible tells the story of a Roman jailer who asked the prisoner Paul, “What must I do to be saved?” Paul answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:30-31).
Come and see. How do you answer these four big questions?
1, Who is Jesus? Is He God who took on a human body to die on the cross to pay for all your sin?
2. Do you have to do good works to receive eternal life? Or is it a gift you receive by faith?
3. Are you willing to break every attachment with sin and Satan and give your allegiance to the Lord Jesus?
4. Will you become a follower of Jesus, do evangelism and make disciples in obedience to His commands?
We are here to help you DISCOVER HIM!
KNOW HIM AND MAKE HIM KNOWN. This is the greatest adventure you can ever have! You can seek Him and find Him. But you will have to pray. Study the word of God. Do spiritual warfare.
We promise to not present to you a lukewarm version of Christianity. Most people are hurting very badly. You may have suffered through abuse, rejection, divorce or depression. You may feel like you are enslaved to certain sins. Coming to truly know Jesus can change all of that.
He is reaching out to you, saying, “Come and see!” What are you waiting for? Come on!!!
