How does it read to you?” The lawyer answered, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT, AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF”
Jesus said, “You have answered correctly. DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE!” (LK 10:25-28).
The goal of RISE Discipleship Training is TO TEACH YOU HOW TO TRULY LOVE AND TO FULLY LIVE. Then, your life will greatly impact others!
Let Me Introduce You to RISE Discipleship Training
GOD’S PROMISE TO US: “Rise and shine, for your light has come. The glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples. But the Lord will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising” (Is 60:1-3). WE WILL TRAIN YOU TO HOW COME OUT OF DARKNESS. YOU ARE MEANT BY GOD TO LIVE IN THE LIGHT OF HIS LOVE. God Himself promises to lead you there!
MY PROMISE TO YOU: “I will not shrink back from declaring to you the WHOLE PURPOSE OF GOD and anything that is PROFITABLE TO YOU” (Our Vision, taken from Acts 20:20, 27). In these last days on planet earth, too many churches are lukewarm. Too many leaders are not willing to pay the price of completing Jesus’ Great Commission to “Make disciples of all nations” (Mt 28:19). In RISE Training, we will not “shrink back” from training you to become a radical 21st Century disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. YOU WILL BENEFIT GREATLY BY HAVING A MENTOR!
WHERE WE ARE GOING: Discipleship involves going on a JOURNEY WITH JESUS. Our goal is for you to become a genuine disciple. Jesus gives His disciples 4 invitations to enter into discipleship. Each invitation is a step is designed by Him to transform your life and raise you up as a leader in the Great Commission. THE BEST PART IS WALKING WITH JESUS!
HOW WE WILL GET THERE: By following Jesus and obeying His commands! Deep Bible study (Training) and radical, costly obedience (Activation Assignments) will guide you to “to walk in the same manner as He walked” (1 Jn 2:6).
“Blessed is he who reads and those who HEAR the words of the prophecy and HEED the things which are written in it, for the time is near” (Rev 1:3). Last days discipleship calls you to go deeper into the word of God and rise up higher in your walk with the Lord Jesus than ever before. The time is short. The days are evil. But the Lord Jesus is speaking. GO GET YOUR BIBLE AND YOUR JOURNAL!
LEARN WHO JESUS IS: Do a daily DEVO taken from 40 Days With Jesus. A DEVO is a time where you are DEVOTED TO MEETING WITH GOD. Taken almost entirely from Scripture, the 40 Days of Devotion to Jesus will walk you through 40 different names and descriptions of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is truly amazing. Astonishing. Life changing! The book of Hebrews encourages us to “pay much closer attention” to Jesus, to “consider Jesus,” and to run our race “fixing our eyes on Jesus” (Heb 2:1, 3:1, 12:2). Please don’t miss even one of these DEVOS. Remember, our entire training is designed to answer the question, “Who Was He?” We will discover that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Heb 13:8).
PLAN ON WINNING THE WAR: When Jesus said, “I will build My church and the gates of Hades will not overpower it” (Matt 16:18), He promised that He will give you the keys to victory over Satan, sin, the world, and the flesh. In His love you are more than a conqueror (Rom 8:37). He will always lead you in His triumph (2 Cor 2:14) and He will abundantly reward last days’ overcomers (Rev 2:7, 11, 17, 26-27, 3:5, 12, 21). “We are not ignorant of Satan’s schemes to take advantage of us” (2 Cor 3:11). We will win the war!
My Story
Here’s an example of one of my podcasts. I like to write a brief introduction. This is what much of our teaching is like.
Let me introduce myself. I am a former hippie philosophy student whose life has been totally transformed by knowing Jesus. I went on a long journey. I was extremely skeptical. But I was desperate for truth. I read the entire New Testament before I put my faith in the Lord Jesus as my personal Savior. Here’s my story.
May I share my story with you? My dad had a love of life that was contageous. I certainly caught it! Life seemed easy for my dad. But when I, as a hippie philosophy student, began to ask the big questions of life, the answers didn’t come easily to me. Eventually I had to admit that I didn’t undertand life at all. Yet I still loved life. That was my motive for embarking on a journey to discover the key to life. The turning point came when my mother gave me a Bible. I opened it and read, “God is love” (1 Jn 4:8). In a flash I realized that the love my mother and father had unwaveringly shown me my entire life was something I understood. The meaning of life began to unfold for me from that point on. Listen to my story and you will see why, to this day, I love to live.

Let me tell you a story to explain why I believe the “Become A Disciple” course will be valuable to you.
In Matthew 7 Jesus has just finished teaching “The Sermon on the Mount.” It takes three chapters in the Bible to capture His entire teaching on the primary values of the Kingdom. He concludes with this illustration. “Everyone who HEARS these words of Mine, and ACTS upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew and burst against that house, and yet it did not fall, for it had been FOUNDED UPON THE ROCK.
And everyone who HEARS these words of Mine, and DOES NOT ACT upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew and burst against that house, and it fell, and GREAT WAS ITS FALL” (Matt 7:24-27).
The point is obvious, isn’t it? Take the time to listen carefully to Jesus’ words. He promises that knowing Him and trusting Him as your personal Savior will result in living with Him in His kingdom forever. THIS IS A TEACHING UPON WHICH YOU CAN BUILD YOUR ENTIRE LIFE!
I encourage you to sign up for the “Become a Disciple” course. Listen carefully to each podcast and video. Take notes in your journal. Prayerfully do every Reflection and Activation assignment. Count the cost of becoming a genuine 21st-century disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
