40 DAYS OF DEVOTION
WHO IS HE?
He is God’s Holy Servant –“Behold, My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved in whom My soul is well-pleased. I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall proclaim justice to the nations. Although He existed in the form of God, he emptied Himself, taking on the form of a bond-servant. Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God. The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many. God raised up His Servant and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways. Extend Your hand to heal, while signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus” (Is 42:1, Jn 12:18, Phil 2:7, Heb 10:7, Mk 10:45, Acts 3:26, Acts 4:30).
WHO ARE WE?
We are Bond-servants of the Lord Jesus – “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me, and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, My Father will honor him. If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all. Grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence while You extend Your hand to heal. The servant-girl kept saying, ‘These men are bond-servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation.’ We do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, while the Father gave Him to show to His bond-servants. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the New Jerusalem, and His bond-servants will serve Him” (Jn 12:26, Mk 9:35, Acts 4:29, 16:17, 2 Cor 4:5, Rev 1:1, 22:3).
