Day 32: Jesus is our Rock

He is Our Rock – “You shall strike the Rock and water will come out of it that the people may drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ. The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just. A God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He. Indeed, their rock is not like our Rock. Even our enemies themselves judge this. The stone which the builders rejected has become the Chief Cornerstone. Behold, I lay in Zion a Stone of Stumbling and a Rock of Offense. He who believes in Him will not be disappointed. You are Peter (a small stone) and upon this rock (huge bolder) I will build My church” (Ex 17:6, 1 Cor. 10:4, Deut 32:4, Ps 118:22, Is 8:14, Rom 9:33, Mt 16:18).

We Stand on the Rock “I rejoice in Your salvation. There is no one holy like the Lord, nor is there any Rock like our God. The Lord is my Rock and my Deliverer. The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me. His word was on my tongue. The Rock of Israel spoke to me (David). He only is my Rock and my Salvation, my Stronghold. I shall not be shaken. Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord we have an everlasting Rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the Rock. And coming to Him as a Living Stone, rejected by men, but choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Sam 2:2, 2 Sam 22:47, 23:2-3, Ps 62:6 Is 26:4, 1 Pet 2:4-5).
