Day 36: Jesus is our Prophet

He is our Prophet: “The Lord your God shall raise up for you a Prophet like me (Moses). I will put My words in His mouth. Whoever will not listen… I Myself will require it of him. I (Jesus) will open My mouth in parables. I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world. The woman said to Him, ‘Sir, I perceive You are a Prophet.” The crowds were saying, this is the Prophet, Jesus. Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, ‘A great Prophet has risen among us. God has visited His people.’ Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy” (Deut 18:15, 18, 13:35, Jn 4:19, Mt 21:11, Lk 7:16, Rev 19:10).

We are His Listeners: “To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? To you (disciples) it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. Many righteous men desired to see what you see and hear what you hear. Everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. Hear then the parable of the sower. The good soil hears the word, understands it, and bears fruit. Blessed is [the bond-servant] who hears the words of the prophecy, and heeds the thing written in it. (Is 53:1, Jn 12:38, Mt 13:11, 17, 23, Rev 1:3).
