Day 8: Jesus is the Author and Perfecter of our Faith

He is the Author and Perfecter of Our Faith  “Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Jesus said to them, ‘Why are you so fearful? Where is your faith? Have faith in God.’ When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, ‘Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you.’ When He saw her, He said, ‘Daughter, be of good cheer, your faith has made you well.’ The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith.’ The Lord said, ‘If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.’ Jesus marveled, ‘Not even in Israel have I found such great faith’” (Heb. 12:2, Mk 4:40, 11:22, Mt 9:2, Lk 17:5, 6, 7:9).

We Trust Jesus “She was saying to herself, ‘If I can only touch His garment, I shall get well.’ ‘I did not consider myself worthy to come to you. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.’ They went up on the roof and let him down in front of Jesus. He took up his mat and went home, glorifying God. Jesus said to the blind men, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord.’ Jesus heard that the Pharisees put out the blind man He healed. Finding him, He said, ‘Do you believe in the Son of Man?’ He answered, ‘Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?’ Jesus said, ‘You have both seen Him and He is the One talking to you.’ He said, ‘Lord, I believe.’ And he worshiped Him” (Mt 9:21, Lk 7:7, 5:19, 25, Mt 9:28, Jn 9:35-38).
